Instructions

  • Shake the Base:
In a cocktail shaker (or a jar with a tight-fitting lid) filled with ice, combine the blueberry simple syrup and fresh lemon juice. Shake for about 10 seconds, until well chilled.
  • Strain and Add Ice:
Strain into a balloon or wine glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Top with Club Soda and Stir Gently:
Slowly pour in the club soda. Stir gently to mix.
  • Garnish and Serve:
Garnish with a lemon wheel and a few fresh blueberries. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use a cocktail shaker or jar:
Shaking the syrup and lemon juice with ice helps chill the base and mix the flavors evenly. A mason jar with a tight-fitting lid works just as well if you don’t have a cocktail shaker.
Chill your ingredients:
For the best flavor and fizz, keep the blueberry syrup, lemon juice, and club soda cold before making the drink.
Use fresh lemon juice:
Freshly squeezed lemon juice gives the mocktail a brighter, more balanced flavor than bottled juice.
Add club soda last:
Wait to add the club soda until just before serving to preserve the bubbles and keep the drink crisp.
